It’s a personal journey as well as a technical journey,  teaching you resilience, problem-solving and new ways of thinking and working

Our current cohort of returners are halfway through their very own ‘journey into tech’ they’ve got to grips with the fundamentals of software development and heard about the real career options in technology available to them.

We caught up with them to find out how they've found the past eight weeks

So far, I have loved every minute of being a part of the TechReturners course - when I look back over the last 8 weeks, I can’t quite believe how far I’ve come. The course has definitely been challenging and there have been moments where I’ve doubted whether I will be able to get my head around a certain concept or function but the support of the Coaches and fellow peers on the course has been brilliant.

It’s a really welcoming and warm environment and the TechReturners team are understanding about taking the learning at your own pace, and they offer 1-1 support if something doesn’t quite make sense to you straight away.

It’s a personal journey as well as a technical journey,  teaching you resilience, problem-solving and new ways of thinking/working. I’ve loved the course so far and am so grateful to have been offered the opportunity to be a part of it.

Its been a fantastic roller coaster ride so far with far more ups than downs. The first week was great but felt like I had been thrown in the "coding deep end". I quickly found my feet and realized that I had to do a lot more work on my own and on a daily basis to add to what we learned in the lectures.

James has been inspirational for the last few weeks and the lightbulb moment I had with React came after one of James lectures.

Confidence is huge and so far this course has given me that confidence and inspiration to get my head down and work hard at improving my coding knowledge.

Applications are open for the next cohort of ‘Your Journey Into Tech’ starting September 2019 click here to find out more and take the first step on your own journey into tech.
