Starting in February 2022, you can make your return to tech with a Software Developer role with The Guardian through our ‘Your Return to Tech’ February 2022 programme.
The 'Your Return To Tech’ programme encompasses 12 weeks of expert technical teaching on Software Fundamentals, Frontend & Backend technologies, plus tailored careers support from our talent and coaching teams to help returners back into work.
This programme is sponsored by The Guardian and is COMPLETELY FREE for you to take part in. It's delivered remotely via Google Classroom and Zoom sessions. We are excited to accept applications for our February 2022 programme where members of the cohort will secure life-changing roles at the end of the programme.
Our team of experts are here to provide you with the opportunity to refresh your skills in Software Development Fundamentals, Frontend, and Backend technologies, receive career readiness and confidence coaching, and then be supported to secure a permanent role with our hiring partner, The Guardian.
The Guardian believes in diversity of people, backgrounds, experience, and ideas which helps them build better products and achieve more. Applicants who have taken traditional and non-traditional career paths into software development are more than welcome to apply to this programme but you need to have been a software engineer in the past to be considered.
Successful applicants will need to be within commuting distance of London as The Guardian is expecting to adopt flexible working; a combination of working from home with regular travel to the head office in London a few days a week.
Whilst we're looking for mid-level software developers for the programme, The Guardian are also looking to develop engineers into senior level and therefore we welcome applications for the programme from individuals who are considering returning as senior developers/engineers too.
