reframe Women in Technology takes place in just a few weeks time and so we wanted to give you a look at what you can expect from our key note speakers and what they'll be talking about. First up it's Claire Reckless, Test Lead at

Claire is the key note speaker for the Leading Success theme of our conference where she'll be delivering her talk The Fraud Squad: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome. 

"I've just got where I am through luck!"

"I'm going to be found out at any moment!"

"I don't deserve the success I've achieved!"

"I'm a giant fraud!"

These are all pretty common thoughts someone suffering from Impostor Syndrome might have, but Claire admits she hadn't even heard of it a few years ago despite it being something that a lot of successful and really intelligent people suffer from including herself! as a result she's a firm believer  its' effects can be debilitating and shouldn't be dismissed as non existent or unimportant. 

In this session, Claire will focus on the importance of acknowledging Imposter Syndrome and allowing people to feel they're able to admit they're affected by it. She'll share an honest account of how Imposter Syndrome has affected her throughout her career, what she's done to manage these negative feelings and how doing so has enabled her make a positive contribution to the testing community and progress her own career.
