Beckie Taylor

Tech Returners Co-Founder and Mum to Ethan and Emmie, Beckie is an executive coach with over 18 years of HR and people development experience. She has a focus on talent management, team effectiveness, continuous performance development, building a diverse workforce and flexible working and has acted as a global HR leader, spearheading business growth for international tech companies. Beckie is also a coach at Tech Returners supporting individuals through their career journey and providing coaching for the Your Journey into Leadership programme. Beckie is Co-Founder of WIT North and has been Voted one of the Top 30 Women in Tech for Greater Manchester 2018 and was named one of Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in Tech 2019.

James Heggs

Tech Returners Co-Founder and Dad to Eoghan, James is a graduate in Software Engineering and has spent over 13 years working in the North West's tech sector in a range of roles from software engineer to head of development, as well as being a DevOps consultant for both public and private sector businesses. James is also a Tech Coach delivering technical teaching and support across the Your Return To Tech and Your Journey Through Tech programmes. A keen advocate for tech in the North West, James also organises the Devops Manchester Meet Up designed to bring the DevOps community together. He is also a previous holder of the Made in Manchester Awards Technology Professional of the Year.

Ellie Judge

Tech Coach Ellie embarked upon a career change after discovering a love of code. Having embraced the tech scene in Manchester and teaching herself to code at home she successfully applied for a scholarship at Code Nation learning HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React as well as backend technologies such as MongoDB and MySQL - she’s been coding ever since! In her role as Tech Coach she provides teaching and support across the Your Return to Tech and Your Journey Through Tech programmes alongside keeping her skills sharp developing in-house tech solutions for the business.

Matt Jones

Matt is an experienced in-house technology talent partner. Having moved to Manchester 15 years ago from North Wales to pursue a career in recruitment, Matt has become one of the leading in-house technology recruitment figures within the Manchester technology scene. Matt is Tech Returners Talent Coach and is responsible for supporting our returners through their Return To Tech and beyond and supports our clients in helping them reduce their technology skills gap.

Kerry Heath

Kerry is a Business Operations Manager at Tech Returners and has 7 years of experience in people-focused operations roles across sport, higher education and recruitment. Kerry is passionate about delivering the best experience for people and focuses on our internal processes, policies, systems, and data at Tech Returners; helping to make everything run smoothly both internally and for the learners on our programmes. Outside of work you'll usually find Kerry on a hockey pitch.

Emily Baron

Despite receiving a degree in Fashion Communication & Promotion, Emily switched it up and found her true love in Operations & Project Management. Heading up the Operations alongside Kerry, she is passionate about keeping the team on track throughout the many different programmes we run, implementing new ideas to help streamline the way we work & is the main point of contact between the team & our clients. When she is not scheduling our diaries, she can be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen!

Neil Hughes

Before becoming a Tech Coach at Tech Returners, Neil had a packed career as a comedian, author, tutor, programmer, and international speaker. His TED talk linking mental health with the physics of custard has been viewed over 320,000 times. When he's not speaking about pudding and anxiety, he might be found building a website, writing a book, playing music, struggling with the picture round at a pub quiz, or making a nice pasta bake.

Robin Nkomo

Robin is Tech Returners’ marketing executive, in her role, she oversees the production of content, branding, PR. She's a well-rounded marketer who has developed extensive experience in managing multiple projects and implementing the full marketing mix. Robin has international and varied sector marketing experience covering; experiential marketing, construction, care, and now tech education. Robin is a proud alumna of UCLan, and she’s passionate about mentoring young students in their academic careers with an emphasis on the importance of industry exposure. She was awarded the 'Outstanding Commitment to Academic Scholarship' by the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise; in addition, she was recognised for her academic excellence on the Dean's List 2018. Robin is committed to her professional development and works to upskill herself whenever possible.

Mili Velikova

Mili is a career and personal development coach who is passionate about extracting the best from people. As a former structural engineer she focuses on providing tangible, practical and easy to implement tools and strategies to help returners develop a growth mindset. When she's not in a 1:1 session, you'll find Mili doing large jigsaw puzzles, playing tennis or teaching Human Design.

Charlotte Dougal

Charlotte has spent 5 years working as a lecturer in education. She has had a proud career changer and is now a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Tech Returners. She is responsible for recruiting and supporting our returners through their Return To Tech bringing her knowledge of assessment and support across all programmes.

Tom Rowlands

Tom joined the team after working as a Work Coach for the Department of Work and Pensions. He has over ten years of experience in people faced roles and a passion for delivering a quality service and supporting people on their personal development journeys. As a member of the Operations Team at Tech Returners Tom holds the position of Programmes Coordinator, it is his role to ensure all our programmes run smoothly. He also acts as a point of contact between the teams and our Returners ensuring everyone is on the right track to success.

Simon Morgan

Tech coach Simon discovered his love of code while writing scripting for sampling software during his 12-year stint as a lecturer in Music Technology and Production. This eventually led to a scholarship at a coding bootcamp to hone his understanding of React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the MERN stack of technologies. Now transferring his educational skills and experience from one technology subject to another, Simon provides teaching and support across the Your Return To Tech programmes at Tech Returners.

Natalie Asprey

Natalie is a Marketing Consultant working with Tech Returners to provide strategic marketing delivery across its programmes, initiatives and events. With more than 11 years experience building marketing functions and teams within B2B marketing and with a specific focus on tech businesses she is passionate about delivering tangible value to stakeholders through marketing.
